A conversation among friends starts with the friends

Meet the
Family

The HWH core four: the voices, personalities and longtime friends behind the microphones and the mayhem.

Steve Huber at the Hangin' with Huber microphone

Host • Ringleader • Garage Door Opener

Steve Huber

Huber grew up on a farm in Kingsville, discovered classic rock through 100.7 GRX and started a basic radio station at Perry Hall High before studying radio at Towson. An internship at 98 Rock in 1998 became an 18-year run, followed by nine years at 100.7 The Bay. HWH is an extension of something he’s always done: get people together, tell stories, make each other laugh and take something ridiculous way more seriously than it deserves.

The garage was already the show. The microphones just opened the door.

The HWH Core Four

The people in the garage

Friends first. Microphones second. Everybody brings something different to the table.

Steve N-Dub Campbell

Steve “N-Dub” Campbell

Noted Weirdo • Co-host

Huber hired Campbell to produce Ravens coverage at 98 Rock, then grabbed him again when he became available after Huber moved to The Bay. Campbell is the yin to Huber’s yang: insanely quick, dry, one of the funniest people Huber knows and never afraid to call him on his BS. Noted Weirdo Producer Steve Campbell eventually became simply N-Dub.

Why HWH needs himHe completes Huber.

Alex Mini Horse Way

Alex “Mini Horse” Way

Social • Marketing • Energy

Mini Horse is intensely curious, always ready for a good time and somehow capable of saying the dumbest thing in the room while being one of the smartest people in it. She brings social-media and marketing chops, a completely different generation and endless energy. She also has a special talent for getting under N-Dub’s skin.

Why HWH needs herA different generation and perspective.

Ian Captain Crabcake McCleary

Ian “Capt. Crabcake” McCleary

Music • Adventure • Family

Ian has been around since Huber’s 98 Rock days and eventually became family. He’s a hard worker, huge live-music fan and the guy who says yes to life. Captain CrabCake began when The Bay put him in a cape, crab claws and a crab hat to give away festival tickets. The character was temporary. The name was not.

Why HWH needs himHe’s saying yes before the idea is finished.

Pull up a chair.
